These Hands played their last ever show at Highbury's Buffalo Bar on Saturday 20 August 2005. Thank you everybody.

These Hands was a four-piece rock band from North London with a yen for the local DIY scene. You can still mail us on "bass at thesehandsband dot org". Or you can look at these pictures.

Andrew plays guitar and sings sometimes. His guitar is a Burns, his voice his own.

Raul works the drums by night and Soho Selectadisc by day. Go visit.

Will is the bass player and lazy hombre. He currently does stuff with computers.

And Doug. Doug Doug Doug Doug. Plays guitar and has a memory like a machine. He also recorded some of these songs.

Before we stopped playing, some people sometimes said good things ..

knom - "North London hardcore dudes making angular noises and shouting. Yes."

live review from www.ishotthedeputy.com - ".. a fantastic slice of edgy hardcore .. Andrew moves around the stage ragdoll-like, flapping his hands, the mic cable round the back of his neck screaming up into it with his eyes closed. He's everything you want in a frontman - pure energy and totally into everything the band are doing .. Their drummer is some sort of ambidextrous marvel, playing like a demon, with his arms uncrossed; they have some trouble deciding when to finish a couple of their songs and the audience love it. So do the band, it seems."

EP review from unpeeled zine, series 5, issue 1 - ".. you can hear the influence of stop start rock enthusiasts like the Icarus Line, Drive Like Jehu and the Jesus Lizard. The vocals are quite distinctly English though, the nasal snottiness recalling bands like Wire and also some late 80s art rock types as well. The third track is driving and slower than the other two bringing to mind good things like the latest Hot Snakes album or Pitchfork, cool stuff."

clubfandango - ".. melodic leftfield alt-rock with choppy guitars, frenetic drums and plenty of shouty bits .."

live review from opposition t - ".. moves seamlessly between evil speed chords and Van-der-Graaf lightning flicker intricacies .. [vocals] intoning playfully surreal social observations .. a superb moshy post-punk pop. They have songs. They have beats."
